Controls are Flipped, How far can you get?
Last year saw the introduction of a new type of Nintendo controller, The Goofy Foot. Inspired by a drummer wanting to recreate the Thor Aackerlund hyper tap using their right hand, they designed a new NES controller with upside down circuitry. While it was deamt up with the Classic Tetris World Championship in mind, we had other ideas.
Introducing the Goofy Foot tournament, where the goal is to see how far you can get on a Nintendo classic using a “backwards” controller. The person who makes it the furthest by Sunday at 5PM will win a prize. You’ll have to come out to the Expo to see what game we’ve picked!
Game version: NINTENDO NES
Game Settings: Press start and go as far as you can.
Person who gets furthest by end of the Expo wins.
This year LPGE introduces Achievements, special customized rewards for doing something remarkable in a game. This tournament will be a part of those challenges and as such, will have a secondary goal for the Achievement. How many achievements can you unlock this year?
