LPGE Satellite Tournament
Founded in 2015, the Retro World Series traveled across the country to some of the nations best gaming conventions. With tournaments ranging from two-player versus battles to high score competitions to speedrun tournaments, over 500 players participated in the 2016 season of the Retro World Series.
During a season, the Retro World Series holds satellite tournaments where participants have the opportunity to win prizes, be awarded entries in the end-of-year Main Event, and earn points towards the Player of the Year award.

The guy behind the RWS
Hal Hawkins is the creator, director, and owner of the Retro World Series. While he may downplay it, Hal is also a borderline professional gamer. Currently, he holds 12 15 world records on Twin Galaxies in games such as NBA Jam, Tecmo Bowl, and NES World Cup Soccer.
